Roll Specifications All paper rolls consist of 2 main components:
CORE - a hollow tube that consists of
Plastic Either solid wall or honeycombed
Fiber Similar to heavy cardboard
None Paper is wound around a mandrill and slid off leaving the core space empty

PAPER - common substrates or paper types used with MAX International's rolls:
Bond Single ply - measured in pounds
15, 16, & 20 #
Carbonless 2 and 3 ply
Thermal Single ply - measured in pounds
15 & 20 #
Top Coated
Ticket and Tag Stock

Roll specifications are given in the following format:
Roll width x roll diameter x inside diameter of core

Additional information:

To Convert Millimeters to Inches:
Millimeters x .03937 = inches

Critical Measurements Used in formulas and specifications

1. ID: Inside diameter of the core. This measures the actual space between the inside walls of the core

2. OD (or "d"): Outside diameter of the core. This measures the distance from outside surface to outside surface.

3. D: Outside diameter of the completed roll

4. Caliper (or "T"): the thickness of the paper in inches

5. Length (or "L"): the length of the paper in feet

6. Width (or W): the width of the roll in inches

7. Weight (or w): the weight of the roll in pounds or #
